Legion of Mary

The purpose of the Legion is glorifying God through the holiness of Legion members through prayer and active cooperation in Mary’s and the Church’s work against evil and advancing the reign of Christ. The Legion’s spirit is that of Mary herself, aspiring to her humility, obedience, her angelic sweetness, her prayerfulness, her purity and patience, her heavenly wisdom, her self-sacrificing courageous love of God, and above all, her faith. Meetings are every Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. in room #203 of the Parish Center.  Contact Sharon Apple at 812-482-1892.

Daughters of Isabella (D. of I.)

The D of I is an organization of Catholic women who meet, plan and conduct works of charity, visiting the sick, funding worthy projects and causes, and serving Christ by following his example. Meetings are held the second Monday of the month, except in July. Contact Regent, Kathy Schneider at 812-482-2994.

St. Ann’s Society

St. Ann Society is a group of Catholic women who meet twice annually for both social and service purposes. The group provides encouragement and financial support in the form of scholarships for a high school senior who exhibits Christian leadership, is in good standing in the Parish, maintains a “B” average during 4 years of high school and is in need financially. St. Ann also sponsors a Quilt/Afghan raffle for seminarians. Members may also respond to special requests such as providing hospitality for St. Joseph’s R.C.I.A. and other parish events. Holy Name Society

The primary objectives of the Holy Name Society are the honor and glory of our Triune God and the personal sanctification of its members by acts of love and devotion to the Most Holy Name of Jesus. This spiritual life of its members is a perpetual act of reverence and love. The Holy Name Society provides one or more scholarships every year for a young man in good standing in the Parish and serves the community. For more info, contact Ed Kreilein at 812-482-1375.

Cursillo

Available in Jasper, through the Evansville Diocese chapter, Cursillo is a three-day spiritual curriculum for personal conversion in a group setting, resulting in a commitment to Christ through continuing study, practices of piety, evangelization, and service to the Church and the people of God. “Ultreya” reunion meetings are held the second Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Application forms are available at the Parish Center office. 812-482-1805.

Christ Renews His Parishes

Christ Renews His Parishes (CRHP) is a two-day weekend spiritual experience designed to bring members of the Jasper and Ireland Parishes together in Christ. Separate ladies’ and men’s retreats are usually conducted during the February/March time of year at one of the four area Parishes.  Participating in CRHP helps to personally renew ones relationship with Jesus Christ through the basic beliefs of our Catholic faith, and together builds stronger parishes of service and devotion.  For more information, call Ann Rasche @ 812-482-1757, Mike Eckert @ 812- 482-4786, Steve Luegers @ 812-634-0012 or Becky Beckman @ 812-482-9892.

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC)

Available in the Jasper area through Southwestern Indiana Teens Encounter Christ (SWITEC), High school teens who have received the sacrament of Confirmation and are Juniors or Seniors, can participate in this exciting and rewarding 3-day experience of spiritual growth and fellowship. Boy Scouts

Boy Scout Troop 182 activities include spring, fall and winter weekend camps, weeklong summer camp, weekly meetings, popcorn sales, fishing and horseshoe pitch, “Order of Arrow” tap outs, and Troop trips. For boys 10 1/2 to 18 years of age. Contact Scoutmaster Chad Lawson at 812-639-8418.

Cub Scouts

Cub Scout Pack 182 activities include monthly pack meetings, den meetings, Webelos Campout, popcorn sales, Christmas Skate Party, Scout Sunday, Blue and Gold Pizza Party, Pinewood Derby, Cub Field Day, Bowling, Day Camp, Summer Swim, Summer event, Pack Camp. Coffee and Conversation

A fellowship activity, is on the first and third Sundays of the month after the 7:30 a.m. Mass until 11:00 a.m. serving coffee, juice, doughnuts and fruit. Non-parishioner guests are always welcome as well, so bring a friend. All parishioners are invited to participate with this activity. Contact the Parish Office, 812-482-1805.
